Printer Security Highlighted By State Officials
Some state officials have visited Seine Group’s High-tech Industry Park located in Nanping, Zhuhai, and encouraged the printer manufacturer to make more contribution to printer security.
Wenwu Ding, Director of Division of Electronic Information, MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China), and Shanqin Qiu, Dean of Software and Integrated Circuit Promotion Center, MIIT, were welcomed by Jackson Wang, Chairman and CEO of Seine and Rusong Lu, Director of Seine.
After being informed the development status of the company and its products such as SoC chips and laser printers. Mr. Ding chaired a meeting focusing on information security of printers. At the meeting, Li Ding, Chief Engineer of Seine, made a report on Seine’s technology development and said , “By applying SoC chips in Patum printers, we has diminished the danger of leaking information through chips, which makes contribution to security of China-made printers.” Mr Ding noted, “Security of our national information is very important. Manufacturers should be committed to further improve chip and printer technologies and thus make contribution to this.”
