Printhead Supplier: Solution is More Important than Price

A Shanghai-based company noted that many Chinese exhibitors at imaging supplies trade shows focus upon price instead of delivering an industrial solution.

Ching Ma (pictured) is the Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Aurefluidics Technology Co., Ltd (Aurefluidics) which is a dedicated printhead solutions provider.

“I have noticed that one thing in common is that everyone tries to deliver on a cheap price,” Ma said. “By contrast, our products mainly focus on solving industrial problems. Our products have two features; one is high precision.”

Ma illustrated his point by saying that most printers in the market only have a resolution of 300 dpi, whereas his devices have a higher resolution of 600 dpi. He added that instead of short print runs, his printers can have massive print runs making them suitable for automated production lines.

For this reason, Ma said his company focuses upon industrial applications and the company now has channel dealer partners in Japan and Germany as well as domestically in China. “Our cooperation with Japan has begun to blossom,” Ma said. “We have started selling two products in Japan.”

Ma referred to two printheads. One has been developed for bio-printing and is allegedly the first of its kind in the world to be used with biological cell printing.

The other is a coding printer which is used to print product labels and is a precise point, pressure printing technology. With the development of the industrial internet, the demand for this product is increasing.

“Our strength lies in the fact that we can provide customized solutions for domestic users, based on their special needs,” Ma said. “For this reason, we are focussing on the China market but we are also able to work with our partners in other countries to develop the customised side of the business.”

Ma said that the focus is not in market share, but on providing real solutions needed by the market in a wide variety of applications and fields.
