Ricoh Introduces New RICOH IM A3 Color MFPs
Ricoh Company, Ltd. has announced the launch of its A3 color multifunction printers (MFPs) “RICOH IM C6010SD,” “RICOH IM C4510SD,” and “RICOH IM C3010SD,” scheduled for release on February 14, 2025.
These new models incorporate the advanced paper-feeding technology of PFU, a leading global provider of commercial scanners, into the automatic document feeder (ADF) of the RICOH IM C6010 series, originally released in February 2023. Maintaining the core features of the series—including application integration, enhanced finishing functions, advanced security, and strong environmental performance—the updated models offer improved scanning capabilities.
The addition of “SD” (Seamless Digitalization) to the model name reflects Ricoh’s commitment to bridging analog and digital workflows, promoting greater data utilization and AI-driven processes to support digital transformation (DX).
Key Features
Enhanced ADF for Diverse Document Types
Equipped with a one-pass duplex ADF featuring a straight paper path, these models minimize stress on documents and enable scanning of materials previously difficult to process, such as non-carbon copy paper and plastic cards. This supports industries with specialized paper-based workflows in transitioning to digital operations.
Batch Scanning of Mixed Document Sizes
The new models can handle mixed-size document scanning, including irregularly shaped receipts and invoices, without requiring manual size specification. This feature streamlines digitization workflows, particularly for businesses adapting to Japan’s revised electronic bookkeeping regulations.
High-Speed Scanning for Increased Productivity
Capable of scanning at speeds of up to 200 duplex pages per minute, these models enhance efficiency for high-volume digitization tasks.
AI-Powered Processing for Greater Usability
Standard features include AI-based text orientation correction and OCR processing to improve post-scanning workflows. Integration with Ricoh’s “Invoice Processing Service” and PFU’s AI-OCR software, “DynaEye 11,” facilitates more effective document and data management.
Strong Environmental Performance
The devices incorporate recycled plastic for approximately 47% of their total resin weight. Additionally, they support Ricoh’s Carbon Offset Service, which utilizes Japan’s J-Credit system to neutralize CO2 emissions generated throughout the product lifecycle.
Advanced Usability and Security
Featuring a 10.1-inch full-color “MultiLink-Panel,” the models support various applications for enhanced usability. They are also equipped with the latest security protocols, including TPM 2.0, WPA3™, and TLS 1.3, ensuring robust data protection.
