Ricoh Launches Productive A3 Color Multifunctional Products

Ricoh launched the MP C2003SP and MP C2503SP, a range of new-generation flagship A3 colour multifunction printers designed to increase office productivity in an environmentally responsible manner. These stylishly designed devices offer a short warm-up time of 19 seconds, a first print in only 7.5 seconds (colour), and print speeds of up to 25 pages per minute. They feature an innovative touch operation panel, an advanced controller for powerful performance, outstanding image quality, and a unique stapleless stapler.

“Business owners these days are looking for multifunctionals that are more environmentally responsible, while providing higher productivity through advanced functionality. Our new A3 colour MFPs balance all these different requirements in an attractively designed, stylish and slim package,” says Robert Brown, Product Manager, Ricoh UK and Ireland. “They allow users to save time and increase their workflow through innovative features such as a built-in finisher, stapleless stapler, smart card reader, ID Card Copy and Searchable PDF. At the same time, users have the complete reassurance that these products are reducing their environmental impact through low power consumption, quota setting and adjustable power on/off settings.”

Increasing office efficiency is a key Ricoh objective, and these devices excel in this area. At their heart is Ricoh’s GWNX controller, which powers features such as remote fax, print from USB/SD, quota setting, a customisable home page and an information screen. Distributed Scan Management allows scanning conditions and destination to be set automatically – saving time and improving efficiency.

The devices are easy to use. Their touch panel (optional) is similar to iPad and Android devices to make operation simpler and faster. They support the increasingly popular SRA3 format, allowing crop marks to be printed for efficient proofing. During simplex operation they take paper of weights up to 300 g/m², and print on envelopes with a standard envelope feeder.

Advanced functionality enhances the digital workflow. ID Card Copy enables both sides of a document to be simultaneously copied. The Searchable PDF function saves time looking for documents. All four devices incorporate a powerful remote fax.

A particularly useful option is Ricoh’s unique stapleless stapler, which allows five pages to be bound without using a staple. It saves on resources, and avoids the risk of scratches to users when removing staples, and to the glass platen when scanning a document.

The internal finisher enables preparation of high-quality professional documents. Total capacity can be increased by attaching a 1-bin tray to the top of the finisher, without increasing the unit’s footprint. Outstanding image clarity is ensured by real-time process control, which stabilises image colour density. Colours can be easily fine-tuned through the use of ’before’ and ‘after’ pictures.

The Total Electricity Consumption (TEC) values of these devices are among the lowest in the sector. Power consumption during sleep mode is also an industry low. The power on/off setting can be adjusted to reduce energy consumption further.

The MP C2003SP and MP C2503SP are slim, taking up minimal valuable office space. They are also extremely quiet. Cleverly designed housings reduce the noise of moving parts, and fans stop operating during sleep mode.
