Ricoh Loses its CEO in Australia rtmworldAccording to Wide Format Online, Ricoh has accepted the resignation of managing director and CEO Andy Berry (pictured), who will be leaving the company on 24th July 2020 to take up a role outside of Ricoh.

Berry spent three and a half years at Ricoh Australia after being appointed MD in Feb 2017. The former Royal Navy Lieutenant was previously at Fuji Xerox Australia for nine years and ended his time there as chief operating officer.

Toyohito Tanaka, corporate senior vice president of Ricoh Company, Limited and regional managing director, thanked Berry for “the valuable contribution he has made during his time with the company and wished him well in his new role,” said a Ricoh press release.

“Ricoh Australia has extended well beyond print to become a recognized smart workplace technology provider,” Tanaka said. “Ricoh Australia has achieved many milestones from doubling its Net Promoter Score, becoming Australia’s first Carbon Neutral IT Services company to now being the most NBN ICT certified service provider in Australia, a testament to the organization’s technical skills, knowledge and experience in supporting companies achieve their full digital potential and future-fit workplaces.

New CEO Appointed

Mike Pollok (pictured), managing director of Ricoh New Zealand, has been appointed interim MD of Ricoh Australia in addition to his current role, effective immediately.

“We are fortunate to have an experienced executive of the caliber of Mr Pollok to take charge of our Australian business for the foreseeable future and to lead the business through its next phase of growth as a provider of digital services.

“Michael Pollok is an experienced senior executive with a strong operational, strategic and leadership background who has successfully run Ricoh New Zealand for many years. He will be valuable in driving the transformation of our business as a sustainable digital services company dedicated to helping customers succeed through empowering their digital workplaces. Mr Pollok will assume responsibility for Ricoh Australia for the foreseeable future and until a permanent replacement has been identified.”
