Samsung Launches Faster Line of NFC-Enabled Laser Printers
Samsung has launched a near field communication (NFC)-enabled A4 colour laser printer and multi-function printer (MFP), designed specifically for small and medium-sized businesses in Europe and North America.
The NFC colour laser printer and MFP ProXpress C2620/2670 are both equipped with NFC-enabled technology, Samsung’s open platform XOA-Web, Rendering Engine for Clean Page (ReCP) and polymerised toner – allowing for easier mobile printing with professional colour quality and faster output speed of 26 sheets per minute.
“Building on the success of Samsung’s first NFC printer in 2013, we are excited to bring NFC technology to our business customers via the ProXpress range. This technology allows more flexibility in the workplace with the ability to print documents quickly and easily using NFC. We remain committed to developing and innovating products that meet our business customers changing needs.” said Mark Ash, UK General Manager Print, Samsung UK & Ireland.
The Ease of Use and Usage Variety for Business Customers
With NFC technology, mobile devices can connect to printers and perform printing and scanning tasks with a simple tap on the printer. This technology was developed to make mobile printing easier and to satisfy the ever-fast rising trend of using personal mobile devices for work. In addition, NFC technology supports Google Cloud Print with easier user registration.
Visual trouble shooting has also been added to the ProXpress C2620/2670 to help IT administrators monitor and fix printing errors with a tap on the printer display panel using a smartphone. The printer transmits its operational status and problem-solving solutions in short video clips to the smartphone – identifying where the exact problem is occurring in the printer and instruction on how to solve the printing issue.
Samsung’s open platform, XOA Web, is also compatible with the C2620 / 2670 and allows access to 3rd party Independent Software Vendors solutions, enabling easy customisation for any type of business need. For example, by adopting Ringdale’s followMe solution, a user can send documents to the printer from their workstations, mobile phones or tablet devices and be authenticated for their print job at any enabled printer.
Most impressively, the wide 4.3 inch touch screen display enhances overall efficiency as compared to similar products that only display a 2-line LCD, and provides access to pre-installed solutions and Smart UI operations.
Powerful Performance
The ProXpress C2620/2670 consists of an A4 Colour Laser Printer C2620DW and an A4 Colour Laser MFP C2670FW. C2620DW allows Duplex Print and C2670FW provides print, scan, copy and fax functions. Both products print 26 colour/ black-and-white sheets per minute.
The ProXpress C2620/2670 models are equipped with customised 533MHz dual CPUs that accelerate document processing. Additionally, the ProXpress C2620/2670 can print on any type of paper, regardless of surface texture, thickness, size, and will support up to 59 pounds of Cassette and MP’s.
Professional Colour Quality
To provide professional colour quality, the ProXpress C2620/2670 are equipped with Samsung’s ReCP technology and polymerised toner. ReCP is a technology that ensures vibrant and sharp images through Samsung’s automatic quality refinement technology of text, image edge and colour enhancement. Polymerised toner not only improves the printed colour quality, but also brings a gloss effect with its circular particles. Compared to the traditional toner, polymerised toner also has the effect of reducing 35 percent of CO2 emission.
Higher Cost-Efficiency
The ProXpress C2620/2670 models reduce the output cost by up to 20 percent on average with Samsung’s Buyers Laboratory Inc. award winning eco solution – the Samsung Easy Eco Driver. The Easy Eco Driver automatically alters the font type, font size and image without affecting the original document, leading to lower overall energy consumption by saving paper and toner usage. Users can check reduced energy immediately during printing.
Additionally, by using Samsung’s Instant Fusing System technology, power consumption and costs are reduced further with a shorter warm-up time and the Typical Electricity Consumption is now 35 percent lower than other similar models at 1.70KW.
