Samsung Unveils ProXpress New Printers
On May 22, Samsung Electronics America launched a new collection of ProXpress monochrome laser printers and multifunction printers (MFPs) for small and medium size businesses (SMBs) and home office use. The new M4020ND, M3820DW, and M3320ND printers, as well as the M4070FR, M3870FW and M3370FD MFPs, offer a multifunction integrated toner system and robust ecological features.
Each of the new products provides print speeds of 35 ppm to 42 ppm for letter size documents and support media of up to 220 gsm in basis weight. Further, this collection offers more printing choices for professional documents such as, labels and cards. The Multifunction ProXpress M3870FW and M4070FR printers also include a duplex automatic document feeder feature and offer scan speeds of up to 24 ipm for single sided documents.
The new printers, with the Easy Eco Driver, can reduce toner use by up to 20% in the toner saving mode. This range with the standard cartridge is rated for 3,000 pages and also offers a low initial cost for the ultra-high-yield toner cartridge, which produces 15,000 pages.
The new printers enable users to print and scan from any mobile device by using Samsung’s Mobile Print App and Google Cloud Print. M3820DW and M3870FW both feature an embedded Wi-Fi direct connection. All units feature enterprise level security by using Samsung SyncThru Admin and require a PIN number.
All toners for this Series are included in Samsung’s S.T.A.R Program, which is a free service for recycling empty Samsung cartridges into their main, component collection for re-use in other products.
Tod Pike, Senior Vice President of Samsung’s Enterprise Business Division, commented, “Small to medium-sized businesses and professionals working at home are looking for lower operating costs, the greatest profit and the highest level of performance. The Printer ProXpress and the Multifunction ProXpress Series are designed for fast speeds and high quality images at a reasonable cost. IDC predicts that this segment will post the highest compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10%, by 2017.”
