Seekers of the Lost Ink

It’s taken them six months but a consumer guide team in the UK has tested 4 popular printers to find out which major brand wastes the most ink?

Digital Versus dot com found all printers will clean themselves to avoid dried out nozzles.

The Brother brand printer wasted the least ink, but still used twice as much ink to clean the nozzles during low usage times, as it did during busy usage times.

The HP inkjet printer lost two and a half times the amount.

And the Canon and Epson printers used three times the amount.

The consumer guide group found from a survey of 4006 participants who own an inkjet printer that 81% print very little or rarely at all.

And only 3% print every day.
