Sharp Announces Acquisition of Copifax

Sharp Business Systems, the global leader in document management solutions, announced the acquisition of Copifax, a leading provider of copying, scanning and photographic business equipment.

Under the terms of the agreement, which has been agreed by the board of directors of both companies, the acquisition will ensure that Copifax will continue to trade under its original name, as part of Sharp’s document management solution portfolio. The transaction is based on an undisclosed fee.

He continued, “Copifax has a strong heritage and customer base, one which we feel can only strengthen our proposition and service to our customers”.

The acquisition of the Copifax business is part of Sharp’s on-going strategy to acquire targeted document management businesses throughout the European region and follows on from the acquisition of the IOT business by Sharp in 2011.
