Sharp Introduces Latest A4 MFP
Sharp has introduced two digital full-color multifunctional printers (MFP) models, the BP-C533WD and BP-C53WR.
The latest models boast industry-leading scanning speeds and exceptional energy-saving performance. They cater to various business environments, from large-scale offices to smaller SOHO setups, enhancing users’ productivity.
Impressive Dual-sided Scanning
The high-end model, BP-C533WD, can scan up to 130 pages per minute, ranking among the top performers in the industry. The scanning process is further streamlined with the automatic document feeder, enabling simultaneous scanning of both sides of the paper. Additionally, the AI technology automatically detects colors and gradations in the original document, optimizing settings for the best output without requiring manual intervention.
Contribution to Environmental Sustainability
These models are the first A4 MFPs to incorporate the toner fixing system previously employed in Sharp’s latest A3 MFP products. Utilizing heat and pressure to fix the toner, they enhance efficiency and reduce warm-up time. Consequently, standby power consumption is minimized to just 0.3W, achieving an industry-leading Typical Electricity Consumption (TEC) value of only 0.33kWh/week. Furthermore, the latest models reinforce environmental friendliness by reducing the weight of plastic packaging material by 80%.
Antibacterial & Antiviral Design
Sharp prioritizes hygiene by incorporating antibacterial and antiviral features on frequently touched parts. The operation panel is equipped with an antibacterial and antiviral film containing a visible-light-responsive photocatalyst, certified by the Photocatalysis Industry Association Japan (PIAJ).
Safeguarding Network Security
Sharp addresses security concerns with a dedicated virus detection kit, available separately. It includes a scanning engine developed by Bitdefender, a leading Romanian cybersecurity technology company. This solution mitigates the risk of virus infections resulting from cyber attacks as well as preventing their spread to other connected devices.
