Sharp Unveils New A4 MFP & Printer Series

Sharp has introduced two new A4 colour printing devices, the BP-C131WD multifunction printer (MFP) and the BP-C131PW printer, designed to address sustainability, security, and space efficiency in modern workplaces.

Focus on Sustainability

Both models incorporate up to 50% recycled plastic in their construction and use fully recyclable corrugated cardboard packaging instead of polystyrene. Their compact design reduces the number of components required, contributing to lower CO2 emissions during manufacturing. Additionally, advanced fusing technology enhances energy efficiency, positioning them among the best in their class for power consumption.

Space-Saving Design

With dimensions of 410mm x 410mm, the BP-C131WD and BP-C131PW are among the most compact devices in their category. Their small footprint makes them suitable for office environments where space is limited, including home offices.

Security Features

The new models are equipped with security measures to protect business documents and data. These include data encryption and erasure, TLS 1.3 support, user authentication, and remote firmware updates, ensuring secure operation in workplace environments handling sensitive information.

Usability and Recognition

A 4-inch colour touchscreen provides an intuitive user interface, aligning with the design of Sharp’s broader product range. The BP-C131WD and BP-C131PW have also received the 2024 Good Design Award, recognized for their compact form, integration of environmentally conscious materials, and overall design.
