Superlink Asks Customers to Support Green Efforts
Singapore-based Superlink is asking its customers to send suggestions and recommendations to assist the company by supporting its greener, more eco-friendly printing technologies. Superlink is a digital business card, sticker and signage printing company that has already adopted several plans to be more environmentally friendly.
According to the company, the eco-solvent ink they use to print flyers in Singapore releases no harmful fumes and can extend the life of a printhead. It reduces the company’s carbon footprint and it also reduces the amount of waste sent to landfills.
Superlink’s spokesperson said the company is making an effort to refill the ink cartridges of its customers instead of replacing the entire product. The official added that this lowers their cost and reduces cartridge usage and waste production. Furthermore, only about 2 in 10 inkjet cartridges are recycled worldwide. The rest of the waste cartridges are buried in landfills where the liquid can leak into the ground and contaminate drinking water.
Superlink’s digital technology in sticker printing in Singapore is designed to lower paper usage as well. The company said, “For customers who are willing to spend more, we also have eco-friendly banners and sign materials in the form of vinyl substrates that biodegrade and decompose in three to five years.”
