Thieves Hack Bank Account of Zhuhai Supplier
—Aicon Accounts Remain Unchanged
Criminals have tried to trick the customers of Zhuhai-based i·AICON that i·AICON has changed its bank accounts and payments should now be made to a new account.
Zhuhai Aicon Image Co., Ltd (i•AICON)’s founding CEO Acco Huang (pictured) told RT Media, “Our bank accounts remain unchanged.”
The hackers are allegedly involved in international trade fraud which cripples many companies economically. “In our case,” Huang said, “we found out the problem very quickly and have been able to minimise the impact upon our customers and our company.”
In order to protect its customers, i•AICON says all its financial accounts are subject to proforma invoice stationery. Should there be any changes made to the accounts, the company will send official notices through official company communications.
The company is urging its customers to please confirm with i•AICON before they make any transaction.
i•AICON was founded in November 2006 as a professional document output solution provider of in-office printing consumables. Huang says the name i•AICON means Integrity•Active, Innovative, Caring, Open-minded and Never give up. Its product line includes new-build compatible and remanufactured cartridges for ink and toner printers as well as copiers are distributed in 24 countries and regions around the world.
“Integrity is at the heart of our organisation,” Huang said. “So it is of great concern to us that someone, without integrity, would try to hurt us and our customers. But we will protect our customers.”
