Toshiba Integrates AI-Translation into MFPs
Toshiba America Business Solutions is streamlining multilingual communication with the launch of Elevate Sky Translate, an AI-powered solution that enables instant document translation into more than 190 languages when using Toshiba e-BRIDGE multifunction printers (MFPs).
Designed to meet the needs of school districts, healthcare providers, government agencies, and retail businesses, this technology allows users to print, email, or save translated documents directly from a Toshiba MFP, enhancing communication with diverse audiences.
Elevate Sky Translate automatically detects the source language of a scanned document and translates it into the chosen language, making the translated document immediately available for printing, emailing, or saving to a USB device. Unlike basic word-for-word translations, the AI engine ensures contextual accuracy, delivering clearer and more precise translations for improved communication.
This AI-powered translation functions can benefit various sectors including:
- Education: Helps schools communicate effectively with parents and students by translating enrollment forms, notices, and reports, ensuring compliance with language accessibility requirements.
- Healthcare: Improves patient care by translating medical forms, prescription labels, and discharge instructions into a language patients understand, reducing miscommunication in treatment.
- Retail: Enhances customer experience and fosters loyalty by translating promotions, receipts, and product descriptions in real time.
- Public Services: Strengthens community engagement by translating forms, communications, and resources, ensuring equal access to critical information.
“Elevate Sky Translate provides a simple yet powerful solution to the challenge of communicating with a diverse audience,” said Bill Melo, Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Business Development at Toshiba America Business Solutions. “With a single scan, documents can be translated and printed in multiple languages while retaining their original formatting, enabling schools and public institutions to connect with their communities in the language they understand best.”
