Xerox India Outlines Market Strategies for FY2014
In an interview with Financial Express Online, Vipin Tuteja, Executive Director for Technology, Channels and International Business at Xerox India, introduced the current situation and outlined market strategies Xerox has planned for this region in fiscal year 2014.
For FY2014, Tuteja observed that Xerox will upgrade its product portfolio to meet customers’ needs and expects increased demand for Xerox ConnectKey enabled devices. Plus, Xerox will continue to focus on small and medium size businesses (SMBs). In addition to consolidation of its existing channel base, Xerox plans to focus on adoption of A3 MFPs and solutions involving its Connectkey controller. According to Tuteja, since more than 50% of its global revenue comes from the service business, Xerox will continue to strengthen this segment by focusing on the fast-growing businesses of Financial Services and Telecom.
Tuteja also pointed out that researchers say 90% of SMBs are based in the top 200 Tier II and Tier III cities of India. Xerox has already covered the top 200 cities through its channel partners, with 40-45% of its business coming from SMBs. To fulfill demands in the SMB market for products of high quality and affordable price, Tuteja said Xerox has already launched Workcentre 5019/5021 in the A3 category and Phaser 3040 and Workcentre 3045 in the A4 category.
As was revealed by Tuteja, Xerox’s core business in India includes innovation, technology, and Xerox services. Tuteja noted that the traditional printing market in India is growing steadily, while the global business remains flat. Also, the document outsourcing business is increasing rapidly by 25% to 30% and the BPO (business process outsourcing) is also showing healthy, double-digit growth.
