Xerox to Manage Print Operations for American Savings Bank in Hawaii
American Savings Bank said it has selected Xerox, one of the world’s largest document management and business process management services firms, to manage its Hawaii print operations as part of an innovative five-year managed services agreement.
Under the terms of the agreement, Xerox’s communication and marketing services division will leverage the printing assets of American Savings Bank’s print operation to develop its seventh U.S. Innovation Print Center.
American Savings Bank CEO and President Richard Wacker said that the agreement is a win-win for both the bank and Connecticut-based Xerox.
“Xerox is a company whose core business more closely matches the capabilities of our print division,” he said in a statement. “American Savings Bank will be the first client of Xerox’s new venture, which will continue to provide the same high-quality print production services to American Savings Bank currently performed by our print division.”
He also pointed out that both companies are expecting a seamless and smooth transition as operations and all employees are transferred to Xerox with no disruption in service.
“With our new Hawaii Innovation Print Center, Xerox will be able to provide industry-leading printing and communications services to American Savings Bank and other companies in Hawaii so they can focus on their core businesses,” Xerox Communication & Marketing Services Vice President of Sales Matthew Longbottom said in a statement. “Local businesses that do their printing on the mainland also will be able to bring that work back to Hawaii, which can help create jobs in printing and related services.”
