xTool Makes Debut in DTF Printing with Apparel Printer
xTool, known for its DIY laser engraving solutions, has made its debut in the Direct-to-Film (DTF) printing market with the launch of its Apparel Printer on Kickstarter. The campaign quickly gained traction, hitting its funding goal in just 1.5 hours and surpassing $1 million. To date, the Apparel Printer has raised about $4.2 million from 742 backers, reflecting strong market interest in xTool’s latest innovation.
Simplifying Apparel Printing
Market research identified three major challenges in traditional DTF printing: complicated setup, limited fabric compatibility, and high maintenance demands. “Our users love apparel printing but are frustrated by existing options,” said Jasen Wang, xTool’s founder and CEO. “With the xTool Apparel Printer, anyone can create custom apparel instantly — as easily as printing a document at home.”
The printer simplifies the process with one-click operation and supports a variety of materials, including cotton, leather, polyester, and spandex, delivering high-quality prints on both dark and light fabrics. Additionally, its full-lifecycle auto-maintenance system eliminates the need for manual nozzle cleaning, addressing a key pain point for users of traditional DTF printers.
Advanced Technology for Precision
“To ensure top-tier color accuracy, we equipped the Apparel Printer with an industrial-grade print head. The Epson I1600 Dual Head — typically found in high-end DTF printers costing over $10,000 — delivers professional-level results,” said Howie Zhu, xTool’s Product Director. “Paired with a 16MP AI Smart Camera for automatic calibration, the system guarantees precision from the very first print.”
Complementing the hardware is xTool’s Creative Space software, which optimizes design, enhances images, and refines layouts, ensuring superior print quality while minimizing material waste. This combination of advanced technology and user-friendly software makes professional garment customization more accessible to businesses, apparel makers, and DIY enthusiasts.
Global Launch and Availability
With a community of over 500,000 users creating more than 80 million projects, xTool is expanding its reach into apparel customization, empowering individuals and businesses to produce high-quality garments effortlessly. The global release of the Apparel Printer is scheduled for April 11, when it will be available for purchase on xTool’s official website.
