Zhono Continues to Strengthen IP Safety and Assists the Aftermarket in Europe, the Americas, and Japan

In February 2024, Zhono launched the patented chip solution for Ricoh copiers. Through its innovative design of elastic contacts, this chip not only maintains a better connection with internal contacts of the copier than the OEM chip, but also greatly reduces the risk of infringing on intellectual property rights.  At present, Zhono’s patented chip solution for Ricoh copiers has been certified by a third-party organization in Japan.

Zhono’s patented chip solution for Ricoh copiers was made possible thanks to their teams in IP, Engineering, Product, and R&D who devoted countless hours to discussing, researching, and designing patented chip solutions for Ricoh copiers. When a chip solution has been created and determined, does it mean this product can be released to the market? The answer is No.

Zhono continues optimizing the testing and verification process for its chips. There is a thorough and strict engineering testing system at Zhono. Taking the patented chip for Ricoh copiers as an example, the testing and verification protocols Zhono underwent are as follows:

1. The chip was tested with OEM and compatible toner cartridges on several copiers including IMC2500/3500/6000/2510/3510/6010、MPC2503/3503/6003、MPC2504/3504/6004 series copiers.
2. Zhono also performed other tests including a comparison test (to compare the test results of the Zhono chip with other Ricoh compatible chips in the market), an onsite test by select Zhono customers at their locations, as well as a mixed test using OEM chips.
