Quick Response

Following an intense period of research and development, Zhono produced compatible chips, ready for shipping, that solve the upgrades from the OEM.

“Zhono’s R&D and Engineering teams worked hard to overcome the difficulties,” a Zhono spokesperson told RT Media. “They managed to upgrade the compatible chips for the HP CF500/510 series within 4 hours.”

“To guarantee that our customers can continue to use our chips effectively, we remain alert to the firmware upgrades from the OEM. We are always being diligent in watching what the OEMs are doing and are able to move quickly when these OEM strategies take place.”

Tested and verified, the upgraded compatible chips for the HP CF500/510 series work normally on the printers with the latest firmware (see figure 3). Please use them without any worries.

Zhono recommends that distributors train their customers to turn off the [Auto Upgrade] function of their printers. This will stop the stealthy changes coming down the internet from being received by the printers. According to Zhono, HP printers will automatically receive firmware updates because this is the default system for printers. By turning off the auto-upgrade function, third-party consumables will not be locked out and will continue to function normally in the printer.
