Recharging Your Cartridge Yourself – Berto

Recharging your cartridge yourself has become a billion-dollar industry. It’s called remanufacturing. Is it really worth trying to do it yourself? Berto has captured an amusing aspect of this. But in reality, having ink or toner all over you and your clothes is not a fun way to spend your day. The topic has been picked up in Quora and is well worth a read.

Reuse is the action or practice of using something again, whether for its original purpose (conventional reuse) or to fulfil a different function. Reuse – by taking, but not reprocessing, previously used items – helps save time, money, energy and resources. Historically, financial motivation was one of the main drivers of reuse.

Examples of conventional reuse are the doorstep delivery of milk in reuseable bottles; other examples include the retreading of tires and the use of returnable/reusable plastic boxes, shipping containers, instead of single-use corrugated fiberboard boxes.
