RemaxWorld 2020 Opens Doors for Buyers and Sellers
A scaled-down RemaxWorld kicked off on November 20, 2020, in Zhuhai China despite the impact brought on by COVID-19.
Thanks to the continuous improving situation in China, RT Media, the organizer, was pleased to see more than 100 exhibitors display over ten thousand high-quality SKUs to some 3000 domestic professional buyers on the first day. They came looking for printers, copiers, parts and supplies for the US$12.18 billion domestic market that rivals the US and Europe in terms of size as well as value.
With a track record of 14 successful years, Zhuhai-based RemaxWorld has become an important platform for the office equipment and consumables industries to exhibit products, make deals as well as networking.
Focusing on Made-in-China, the much-anticipated annual event will be held over two days this year thanks to support provided by local government and leading Chinese companies.
During the event, the CCIA consumables professional association will hold meetings and forums on MPS, office equipment and consumables, and E-commerce will be held during the event.
The organizer also extended the show to domestic buyers on China’s well-known ecommerce platform Taobao, China’s version of Amazon, through a strategic partnership. “Combing online and offline, we hope to cover all sale channels and target diversified buyers more specifically. The online page exposure of the “Taobao Cloud Expo x Zhuhai Expo” is expected to exceed 100 million,” said Amber Guan, Communication Manager at RT Media.
During the event, a team of professional virtual reality videographers will snap the highlights of the exhibitors and share them on a newly launched platform “Find-a-Supplier” platform for the global audience to view.
This year, due to the veracity of the global pandemic that raced around the world in such a short time, many international, and some domestic buyers had to suppress their expectations to attend. To this end, the organizer developed an online event for those who could not attend in person. “We launched a confidential, appointment platform “Find-a-Supplier” on our website before the event. We hope it will offer an alternative solution for the buyers to find suppliers,” said David Gibbons, RT Group Director.
Within months of being launched, the platform has over 380 suppliers listed with a product range from print/copy devices to finished consumables, and from parts to raw materials. In addition, eight RT global partners from Europe, America, Latin America, Africa, and Asia have helped regional buyers find suppliers they need for their businesses on a one-to-one appointment basis. “It is the first platform of its kind in the industry across the world, benefiting both the suppliers and the buyers. The platform breaks the barriers of time and space and is an industry dialogue platform for communicating business opportunities, effectively matching buyers and sellers,” said Gibbons.
