Godox has launched the P100 Portable Color Photo Printer, a compact dye-sublimation printer designed to produce small-format color photographs directly from smartphones. The product is priced at CN¥699 (approximately US$104) in China and comes with a 10-sheet printing cartridge.

Measuring 142.5 × 86.8 × 26.8 mm and weighing approximately 320 grams, the P100 is designed for portable use. It connects to smartphones via Bluetooth and supports NFC tap-to-pair on compatible devices. Printing and image editing are handled through the Godox Cam app, available for iOS and Android.

The P100 uses dye-sublimation technology with a 1,256-element printhead and a resolution of 300 dpi. It supports up to 16.7 million colors and uses an all-in-one cartridge that combines dye-sublimation paper and ribbon. The printer accepts paper measuring 97 × 53 mm, with a printable area of 86 × 53 mm. Godox also offers 20-sheet replacement cartridges separately.

A key feature of the P100 is its automatic lamination process. Each photograph receives a transparent protective overcoat during printing, which is designed to improve resistance to water, dust, fingerprints and everyday handling. The feature is intended to provide additional protection for small prints after they are produced.

The Godox Cam app provides a range of image-processing and layout functions, including filters, frames, stickers, templates and collage layouts. It also includes controls for parameters such as brightness, contrast, saturation, color temperature, exposure, shadows, highlights, sharpening and vignetting. In addition, the app features an ID photo function that can format images for standard passport and visa sizes and allows users to adjust background colors.

The P100 is powered by an 800mAh, 7.4V battery and charges through USB-C with a 5V/2A input. It is specified for operation at temperatures between 5°C and 40°C.

Unlike Zink-based portable printers, which use heat-sensitive paper containing embedded color-forming materials, dye-sublimation systems use a separate dye ribbon and dedicated paper. Godox combines these consumables into a single replaceable cartridge for the P100. The company has not disclosed a print-speed figure for the printer.
